County permit records show what homeowners in unincorporated Miami-Dade declared for window and door work from November 2025 to October 2026.
Impact windows and doors are the other big hurricane purchase after a roof. The county records show what homeowners in unincorporated Miami-Dade actually declared for them.
From November 2025 through October 2026, 5,749 impact window and door jobs were filed on houses in unincorporated Miami-Dade County. The middle job was valued at $12,262, meaning half were valued above that and half below. The middle half of jobs fell between $6,249 and $20,000. The work was filed by 748 different companies.
Window jobs range from a single entrance door to a whole-house set of impact windows and sliders, and both are filed the same way. That is the main reason the range is wide. The number of openings, the size of sliders, and frame material move the price more than anything else.
One caution: the value in these records is the declared value written on the permit when the job was filed. It is not a quote and not the final bill. The real cost can land higher or lower.
Treat $12,262 as a reference point, not a price. If a quote is far below the $6,249 to $20,000 range, ask what is left out. If it is far above, ask for a written breakdown. Then check that the company has filed similar jobs near you recently.
